Coastal Mississippi Healthcare Foundation is in the midst of our annual Employee Relief Fund Drive.

Over the past 2 years, CMHF has granted over $40,000 to employees in emergent need.

What SRHS supervisors have to say about assistance given to employees:

One of my Environmental Aides took her daughter out to dinner for her birthday. She returned home after dinner to complete destruction. Her home had been completed destroyed by an electrical fire. She and her daughter had lost everything they owned. The aide was completely devastated and did not know what to do. She reached out to CMHF for assistance, and they saved the day for her. CMHF provided financial assistance to help her with food, shelter, and clothes. The employee stated, The people at CMHF were the most caring and compassionate people I have ever met. We should be grateful that we have an organization like this. I will always be indebted. - Ray

CMHF came to the aid of one of my long time employees by providing her the ability to pay a basic household expense during an extended illness. She later told me that without the help that CMHF offered she would not have been able to concentrate on her prescribed treatment and getting better. CMHF receives public and private donations to support programs that promote the health and well-being of our coastal community. Hospice of Light, Regional Cancer Center, Singing River Health System Employee Relief Fund, and the Patient Resource Management Fund are all examples of agencies assisted by Coastal Mississippi Healthcare Foundation.

Our Mission

Coastal Mississippi Healthcare Foundation, an affiliate of Singing River Health System, develops, implements, and maintains medically related programs and services for our community and provides emergent assistance to Singing River Health System employees in acute need.

Making a Difference at Home

 

Donations received by Coastal Mississippi Healthcare Foundation are used right here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. 100% of your contribution is used to assist families, neighbors and friends in your community.
 

A patient recovering from a severe wound was in need of home care not covered by the insurance provider. CMHF purchased a wound vac to assist in healing the wound.

A newborn baby at risk for SIDS could not go home without a monitor. The family had no insurance, so CMHF provided the monitor so that the infant could go home with her family.

Cancer patients who undergo a specific type of chemotherapy must be free of dental disease. The Regional Cancer Center will refer these patients to an oral surgeon if needed. CMHF has paid for the exam, cleaning and treatment for those patients who cannot pay for the services.

Making a Difference at Work

 

The SRHS Employee Relief Fund was established with the goal of assisting employees of SRHS with financial needs associated with an emergency. The need must be of an urgent nature and well-documented.

 

An employee of Singing River Health System lost her home to fire. CMHF provided clothes for her children to return to school.

An SRHS employee was diagnosed with invasive cancer. When her physician recommended a second opinion, CMHF enabled her to travel to Cancer Centers of America.

Coastal Mississippi Healthcare Foundation, Inc. is an independent corporation with its own Board of Directors, by-laws, and Articles of Incorporation. CMHF is a registered 501(c)(3) organization with a tax identification number of 64-0864350. All gifts to CMHF are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. 100% of each contribution is used to assist those in need within our community.
 

When you give to CMHF, 100% of your donation is sent directly to the program you specify. This is possible through an annual contribution from Singing River Health System which pays all administrative costs. Your donation provides for the health and well-being of a person in need - never to pay salaries, benefits, or other personnel costs.
